Job Overview
We are looking for a warm, organized, and enthusiastic Veterinary Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our practice. We are looking to build our team with a receptionist who is passionate about animals and has strong interpersonal skills. This is a position that will allow you to grow with us and be part of something new and exciting in one of Long Island’s most beautiful and upscale communities.
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. Your passion for animal care and strong organizational skills will help ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for both clients and their pets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and their pets with a smile and professionalism.
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and messages promptly while addressing client concerns or inquiries.
- Schedule appointments and manage front desk operations.
- Handle billing inquiries and payment processing.
- Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring all information is up-to-date.
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with administrative tasks as needed.
- Provide compassionate support to pet owners during visits.
- Coordinate with the veterinary team to ensure smooth patient flow.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service setting is required.
- Previous experience in a veterinary care setting is helpful, but not required.
- Friendly, empathetic, and passionate toward animals.
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Comfortable with scheduling software and multitasking in a fast-paced setting
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
